Can you update the java version on live update to 7u67 or 8.x?

LiveUpdate should be independent of java. Are you talking SEP clients? If so, it won't matter

Sorry, I meant for our own personal LiveUpdate Server?

LUA uses a private JRE. You should not change it because it's customized to LUA.

Since LUA 2.3.1, Java will be installed automatically during installation of LUA. See this article:

I updated the java to the latest version (java 1.6.31) and LiveUpdate is still working properly.
