job fails with file not found

i put this in as a post command to start the next job and recevied the error below.  What file could it not access?

 

"C:\Program Files\Symantec\Backup Exec\bemcmd.exe" -o1 -j"Full Weekly GRT"

 

 

 

Error: Could not start Post Job Command 
 "C:\Program Files\Symantec\Backup Exec\bemcmd.exe" -o1 -j"Full Weekly GRT" 
. Error (2): The system cannot find the file specified.

It is probably the bemcmd.exe that is not found.  Check that it is available in that path.  Better still, logon to the media sever using the BESA and run the command from a command prompt.  Trouble-shoot from there.

Also, have you created the job Full Weekly GRT and put it on hold?

Hi, Kirk !

I recommend add to path variable "C:\Program Files\Symantec\Backup Exec".

Next, command bemcmd.exe -o1 -j"Full Weekly GRT" place into batch file, e.g. ''startnextjob.cmd"

In Post-command field specify full path to batch file, e.g. "c:\aaaa\bbbb\startnextjob.cmd"

This is tried way.
