Job Rate Speed

We are running 12.5 and i noticed beginning Monday that the Job rate for our back ups are running around 120mb per sec, before it was around 770mb per sec.
I have a 1gig connection between the two computers and it is backing up data from an external drive on one PC to a tape drive on the other.
I have no clue why the speed has changed over night. Everything has been running fine for months.
I did notice there was an update on the 22nd, I have yet to run it. I hope this update has a fix for the problem.
Has anyone else had this issue, any help with be much appreciated.

When you apply that update, don't forget to push it out to your remote agent as well. It might contain an update.
As for your slow backup, has there been an increase of data on that other server, or are you perhaps running any anti-virus scans at the same time?

Wht you can also look at doing is restarting your backup device and seeing if the backup speeds are the same.
