  • 1.  KB3039779 not selected in Software Update Policy.

    Hi

    I have a Software Update policy generated some time ago (May 2015), which amongst other things includes MS15-044, which in turn includes KB3039779 - this is a security update which superceeds KB2889923 and is supposed to update Lync 2013 to the new Skype for Business client.

    When I look at the Software Update policy I can see that the update KB3039779 is not selected (it is highlighted red - see below).

    I have not done this manually - I leave this to Symantec Patch Management.  Does anyone have an idea why this has happend and how to resolve it?  I know I could probably select it -

    The reason I ask is because I know I have computers in production with Lync 2013 installed that need to be updated to Skype for Business.

    As far as I know KB3039779 is not superseeded and I have Office 2013 and Lync selected in Vendors and Software.

    I'm seeing the same thing as you with MS15-044 & no mention in superseded report about that update.

    Would this update help you - part of MSWU-2064?

    We don't use Lync/Skype for business so unfortunately I can't test in my environment.
