  • 1.  Keep getting a certificate error, when I log in to the SEPM console from my PC.

    Posted Sep 30, 2013 09:01 AM

A lot of times when I sign in, I will get some kind of certificate error, it doesn't matter what selection I choose, it all will let me in. I am prompted, with accept, always accept, reject and cancel. No matter what I press it will go away and come back at another time. How can I get it to go away for good?

It appears as if it is trying to comminicate with one of my external domains that I have no control over.

The SEPM server is sitting on a Windows 2008 64 Bit server, My PC is a windows 7 64 BIT PC.

The SEP version is listed below.

    RU3 12.1.3001.165

Download the cert and install it

There is an option to download the cert and just import into your browser

I didn't see anything specific about adding to the browser. I just got something to automatically install. I dunno, I hope it works.

Once you download just double click it

    Than click Install Certificate

The import wizard comes up, click Next

Tick the radio button for "Place all certificates in the following store" and click Browse

Highlight the Trusted Root Certification Authority

    Click Next than Finish

Should Prompt you that you're about to install and hit OK

    That should be it.

Still happening, I just give up and will continue to click whatever to sign in. It's one of those things that just won't get fixed. Whatever....

What version of java are you using?  I had something something similar when running the remote SEPM java console; removing all versions of java from my Win8 machine and installing the latest version appears to have cleared it.

I will just keep clicking on it. I give it, not even worth the effort.

    Thank you for your response.
