I am having major problems with keyboards continually freezing for a few seconds and occasionally completely.  I have tried to narrow down the problem and the only two things common to all computers is Microsoft Keyboards (which work fine on other computers) and SEP.  Is there anything in SEP that would attempt to stop the operation of the keyboard or scan processes linked to the keyboard causing it to freeze?

Do you have any Device Control policy applied ?

Its whatever the default is, the only settings i usually have to change is to put exceptions in the AV to allow the accounts software to work.

Do you have features of SEP installed or just Antivirus and Antispyware.

Application and Device Control might be conflicting with your keyboard ( i guess )

    So try
go to Add/Remove Programs - Symantec Endpoint Protection - Change - Modify - next - Application and Device Control ( select - this feature will not be available )
    next..next install.

Is this happening on a certain OS? Do your systems meet the minimum system requirements?

Have your tried any USB keyboards?
Have you updated the BIOS on any PC to see if that helps?
