On SBG 8.0.3, I used to accept mails in french only. But because of an external customer wich sent mails with a signature in English, I had to also accept mails in English.

But now, we receive a lot of spam in english.

Do you have any suggestions to not receive mails in Englsih but with an exception for this customer ? (exception for his signature or his e-mail address)

    Thanks,

    Thomas

Premium Antispam should be detecting spam no matter what the language is, what rules to do have set up for inbound spam and suspected spam?

"a lot of spam in english" is not unusual but if it is not being detected as spam then it is a cause of concern. As JDavis pointed out, we should make sure that the product is configured correctly for best anitspam effectiveness.  Here is a KB article for some Best Practices advice:

To answer your question about allowing email from specific senders, please take a look at the following KB article:

    http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/ent-gate.nsf/docid/2009100618325754

For further details, please refer to the topic titled "About blocking and allowing messages using sender groups" on page 147 in Symantec Brightmail™ Gateway 8.0 Administration Guide.

    Hi Thomas,

Did any of the suggestions help in resolving your issue?  If so can you please mark it as the Solution?
