    Hi

    I have the laptop users which are out of network for months and also we have enabled the liveupdate option for them

    I want to know the risk behind it.

    If you have strict policy you should not be worried about. The only impact may be the new policy (if applied) will be missed until laptop user connects back in.

    the logs of this client will not be present on SEPM. otherwise I do not see any impact,

    Hello,

    Correct, I agree with pete above.

    I see no impact as well.

    When the machine connects to the Network, physically or via VPN, it would connect to the SEPM.

    The SEPM would check if there is anything which has to be updated.

    If yes, then it would be updated and a quick scan would be initiated.
