What does this mean and how can I fix it.
Thank you

HI,
Are you updating Virus Defination Manually ?
Thanks In Advance

SEPM Knowledgebase Documents
No Ashish Im not downloading manually.
1) Latest from Symantec means the definitions avaialbe on the internet
2) Latest on Manager means the definitions which are currently loaded into the manager.
first one needs internet access so that it can go to web and look for latest one. However your manager might get definitions from liveupdate manager. If you are using proxy make sure to set it right under sepm-admin-servers tab.
whats the version of SEPM you are running, check this bug track
"Latest Manager Virus Definitions" on the SEPM Homepage are incorrect after replication

Your latest definitions on Manager seems to be accurate and up to date - I would not worry about the Latest on symantec, may be cosmetic issue to the fact the the SEPM cannot temporarily or due to some blocks from firewall/proxy access the liveupdates servers to report the currently available version.
Do you have any Proxy Server inj your Network? If yes please provide the PRoxy details in SEPM.

It sounds as if the LU client on the SEPM is successfully able to connect to (and download from) Symantec LiveUpdate on the Internet, but the SEPM itself is unable to access the site that feeds the "Latest from Symantec" info.
This can happen if you use a proxy as decribed in the below article:
http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH187596
http://www.cstl.com/
oh yeah, you may also want to review the below article on recommended proxy exceptions:

Thank you guys for all your prompt responses, I closed and opened SEPM console as advised.
