Endpoint Protection

Hi,

Not a massive issue, but it is annoying....

In the virus definition distribution pane on the home page of the SEPM, I virtually always have the above message.
On rare occasions, it will give me the info, but it is rare.

In security response, I often find when I check that the ThreatCon status is wrong too..

Because these are sometimes (although rarely) correct and have up to date info, I have to assume that the SEPM can communicate.

Does anyone know how to make this work more consistantly?

Internet connection (40Mb) is fine - like I say - occasionally it works and live update work just fine.
I am using a non authenticating HTTP proxy - is that likely to make a difference?

try bypassing the proxy and check if it is showing or not.

Just checked my proxy.....
Had an over zealous rule on what the server was allowed to talk to via the proxy server....
This now presents me with a separate quandry - why did it work occasionally....? Ahh well - I don't expect you guys to be able to answer that one... :)

Proxy settings again. It sounds to me that this could be the problem.

Try accessing internet from a browser (with same proxy settings) on the SEPM server.

Configure ur Proxy in SEPm admin page and refresh ur Home page. Try now

I think this Info page uses the same settnings as Internet Explorer please check if this works
