If your asking what version

If your asking what version of ghost can image a Windows 2000 PC, then the current one. Truth is Ghost doesn't care what OS it is imaging, it only cares what file system the HDD is formated in. You can ghost Windows 95 or Windows 7.

If your asking what OS the Ghost client can run on, I have it on a few Windows 2000 PC's and I am able to ghost them fine from the console.

Maybe tell us a little more on what your trying to do?

That's good to know.

That's good to know.  According to the website, the system requirements for the current version are WinXP or higher.  But if your running it on a 2000 box, that's good enough for me.

What I am trying to

What I am trying to do:
I have a few Windows 2000 pc's that are going to be upgrade to XP.  But the hard drives are starting to fail and can't take the upgrade.  What I want to do is ghost the current drives with Win2K on them.  Then put the information back on new hard drives.  Then upgrade the boxes to XP.

Any ghost version from at

Any ghost version from at least 8.1 to current can handle this.

Personally I would rather Ghost the image, use Ghost Explorer to pull out the users files they may need. Then install Windows XP and copy the files over. This way you get a clean setup.

Actually even better may be the Symantec User Migration that comes with GSS 2.5. I have not ran this in Windows 2000 but if it works thats what I would do.

Either way ghost can very easily handle this.
