Our Brightmail has worked last half year just fine, now I found that it doesn´t synchronize with LDAP anymore, problem found that account´s password was expired so now i tried to change password to Symantec Gateway but Im not allowed to change it or even remove all old LDAP connections

If I try to create new connection which has synchronization usage selected it gives this error:
    * Unable to validate the base DN because of the failure in connecting to LdapSync service or database.

And if I try to edit other servers settings I get this error:
    * Cannot fetch the LDAP source.

What can I do to get LDAP connection work again? Please help.

I have updated it to version 8.0.2-12 that did not help.

    Hi,

to remove the previously configured LDAP entries you can log into the SBG CLI with the admin account and launch the following command to remove LDAP sync data:

    clear syncdata

Then you should be able to remove the LDAP entried from the web interface and re-add them.
Let me know how it goes.

Thanks for that information, now I was allowed to remove old ones and add them again, I also found that Directory Harvest Attack was enabled and that also prevented deletion of old ones.
