Lease Agreements
Updated: 22 May 2010 | 4 comments
Hi
We've recently swapped hard drives from one machine to another. The new machine with the old hard drive is showing the correct information in the asset side but is not pulling through to the contract side. The lease is still showing as not associated with any machine.
Can anyone help on how to get the lease information to update.

You might try running a "Recreate Full Inventory" on that computer.

its more than one pc

I run the recreate full invetory every two weeks and its not picked it up but i did as you said and went the to a couple of machines and manually choose it. It still doesn't update!
Inventory to Asset Data Synchronization
Hi Carriefog,
I reckon you're missing 'Inventory to Asset Data Synchronization' task (Configuration -> Solution Settings -> CMDB Solution) which should update the serial number on edit page of the corresponding computer after running the "Recreate Full Inventory" task. however, our "Covered Hardware" dataclass in Lease Agreements may not pickup the updated serial number information about the referenced assets.you may need to manually update these changes in the "Covered Hardware" dataclass to replicate information.
Report "Contract Serial Numbers without Asset Info" should list out all the assets which are having mismatched serial number information for a Contract type. Only way i could think of now, is to pick up wrongly referenced assets from this report and manually update the information in "Covered Hardware" dataclass.
Thank You,
Prasanna.
