  • 1.  Legacy Agent Communication

    The upgrade documentation states I should enable the Legacy Agent Communication setting before upgrading.  I'm current on 7.1 SP2 MP 1.1 Rollup 8.  How do I enable it?  It is not listed on the Notification Server Settings page/Processing tab.  Is this a mistake in the doucmentation?

    I'm guessing the setting should be enabled after upgrading the Management Point, but before the Agent.  The documentation includes it as part of the checklist for upgrading the Management Point which means it should be done before upgrading.

    I did read several statement later in the documentation that say it should be automatically enabled or enabled after upgrading the management point.

    Seems like typo in documentation, because:

    1. "LAC" will be automatically enabled in case, if you will perform upgrade from 7.1 SP2.x version to 7.5.x version.

    2. If I correctly remember, if "LAC" is disabled in 7.5.x version and you're going to perform upgrade to higher 7.5.x release version, then "LAC" will not be automatically enabled.
