  • 1.  LEGACY Brightmail Applicane EOL

    Hi

    Please help with below,

    We have a legacy Brightmail appliance that is now showing EOL and is no longer supported by future version of the Brightmail software (didn’t realise this until I went to apply the new update that was released the other day).

     

    Could you please provide options on replacing this unit? We currently use a Brightmail 8360 appliance.

     

    We would ideally use either a physical appliance, virtual (preferably HyperV if one exists) or possibly cloud based for our mail filtering as we use the Brightmail appliance as our primary mail gateway with a virtual appliance as backup at present.

    You will want to talk to your reseller on pricing, but the SMG can be virtualized on VMware or Hyper-V, or you can purchase a new appliance if you prefer better performance.
