    Hello,

My SEP server went down due to a bad power security system, so I need to replace it.

My question is, can I install the SEP server software with the same licence file that I installed in the previous server or do I need a new slf file?

    Thanks

You can use the same one. As long as it is still valid and you don't go over the total license count, everything will be good.

    Thumbs Up to Brian!

Taking a more educational view, the SEP licenses you own are actually for the endpoints that you have protected with SEP.  It has no impact the SEPM itself, and you're perfectly within your right to install as many SEPMs as you want, as long as your licenses meet your endpoints.

    Hi,

Thank you for posting your query on Symantec community.

    Q. My question is, can I install the SEP server software with the same licence file that I installed in the previous server or do I need a new slf file?

--> Same slf will work. You just need to ensure the number of seats in your license file cover the number of SEP clients managed by all SEPMs.
