Hi All,

Can anyone let me know which license is required to backup Sun x3-2, Solaris 10 in Netbackup 7.5.

The OS is Solaries 10 running on 2 cpu's. and addition to that 2 more solaris server's running in production and test environment.

Also there are 4 windows servers running on windows 2008.

i am not sure should it be Unix/Windows license for the server

I am sure that 4 standard licenses will cover the windows 2008 servers as there is no SAN backup.

You need to purchase Standard Client license for each client regardless of its platform.

Probably a good idea to log into PartnerNet and download the NetBackup Licensing Guide.

I Actually use Netbackup 7.5 and have Solaris client in my backup Policy Job.

We have Netbackup Enterprise Server License which include backup Of solaris client.

We did not setup any additional license in order to backup Solaris client. But as Marianne said, verify the Netbackup licence documentation.
