We have a user that is using the free version of PGP and I need to now get them set up on our network license. Is there an easy way to do this? I tried uninstalling it and installing the network client. However, when the user logged back in the free version was still installed.

    Hi Pschro1,

Licensing PGP desktop does not need to re-install the product you can change the license on the existing setup by Opening Symantec Encryption Desktop -> Help  -> License -> Change License, and update the user details and license there.

For a new setup after installation completes and your system is rebooted, you are prompted to enable PGP for the account.

Click Next to begin the Setup Assistant.

Enter Authorized User for the Name.

Enter Authorized Company for the Organization.

    Optionally enter an email address.

    Enter the 28-character license number (e.g. DEMO1-DEMO2-DEMO3-DEMO4-DEMO5-ABC).

    Click Next.

When the license is authorized, the features enabled are displayed by clicking Details for each feature.

    Click OK.

Note: To avoid typing errors and make the authorization easier, copy the entire license number, put the cursor in the first "License Number" field, and paste. The license number will be correctly entered into all six "License Number" fields.
