License Information
Updated: 21 May 2010 | 1 comment
I've assumed workload for servers and several of my systems contain Veritas volume manager on them. I have received a license report from Veritas customer care. However I am budgeting for 2006 and need to determine which type of volume manager license I have on my servers.
Is there a command or command(s) I can issue in Veritas to interrogate license type on a server?
Thanks for your assistance

Steve,
vxlicrep will report what licenses are installed.
I have included an example below, Storage Foundation Enterprise breaks out to be a VxFS, VxVM and sanpoint control license. The same for other types of licenses.
So you will have to write a script or manually go through the output from different servers.
/D.
