Intel,Altiris Group

We have been purchasing Altiris deployment Solutions client licenses from Dell. I'm interested in what other vendors there are that sell these licenses, or if it is possible to purchase strait from Altiris. I've been goodling around but havne't found anything valuable. Can someone link me to vendor sites or a list of vendor sites.

We have purchased our licenses from Dell, however, when AUP came around for renewal, we renewed with Zones.

What I have done in the past is do all my legwork with Altiris, tell them what I need, have them tell me what they think I need and then they ask what vendor I want to have quote it.  I haven't seen much of a difference in price from vendor to vendor doing it this way, I only change vendors when I'm unhappy with them (which might be for other reasons...such as other product I was purchasing from them).

There are partners that can resell you the licenses as well.  Do you have a Symantec sales person you are working with?  Do you have a Symantec Partner to work with?  If not we at ITS would love to work with you.

Symantec works very well with partners who can provide you with software sales and AUP.

Within the Symantec partner community, there are a handful of companies who originally were  "Altiris only" shops. Depending on how extensively you use Altiris, it might benefit you to work with one of those organizations. Those partners might be able to more quickly and completely answer your Altiris licensing questions and concerns. Also, because the Altiris platform is now the platform where other Symantec solutions are landing, those firms specializing in Altiris previously, may be well positioned to help you with other Symantec solutions as well.

This link agrivated me. the search field are less than co-operative. It wants me to select a location. Like I care where they are located if they are selling me software that they will e-mail me anyway.

There must be some trick to get past the location part of partner locator.

I just chose United States and was able to get right by it.  If you are out of the U.S., you might need to find a reseller from your area as some vendors might not be able to sell licensing outside of the U.S.
