This issue has been solved. See solution.

Several months ago we have bought Altiris 6.5. There are several suites we have bougth, all of them are very complex. There are several products inside each suite. Now we decided to upgrade to version 7 (we have got the right to upgrade free of charge). I have found, that some names of products as well as names of suites are diffirent in 6.5 version and 7.0 version. It is clear, because there are a lot of changes inside of new version. Is there any licenses and functionality map between Altiris 6.5 and 7.0 products? I want one to check that I won't lose any functionality during migration and to check licenses quantities.

no more levels

the easiest way to look at Altiris 7 is there are no longer the levels they were in Altiris 6.  In Altiris 6 you may have had something like Client Management Suite Level 1, LEvel 2 or Level 3.  Or Server Management Suite Level 1 or Level 2, or Asset Management Suite Level 1 or Level 2.

In Altiris7 they have collapsed the levels, so that in Client management Suite 7 you have access to all of CMS.  You will actually gain functionality.

Drop me a note if you would like to talk further or if you want me to give you a call and walk through the licensing

Also be aware...

...some of the Altiris 6.x solutions are not yet released for 7.0, particularly the Asset-related stuff and the Local Security Solution (for managing local Admin account passwords and taking special policy-related inventories).  Also the licensing around the former "SVS" (Software VIrtualization Solution), if you have that, is very confusing under NS7; Jonathan can hopefully explain that a lot better than me! :-).

Thank you, Sirs! I am a bit

Thank you, Sirs!

I am a bit confused by collapsing of levels, because I see that in version 7 there is more functionality, than there was in version 6.5, but I can't find out, if I have this functionality permanently or it is in trial mode and it is a bit difficult to count my licenses. Jonathan, thank you very much for offer, think, I will check one more time everything and then write to you a note with my questions.

Thank you in advance.
