Our project manager in charge of the implementation of SEP in our org has left and no one has been appointed to take over.

I have been asked to find out how many licenses our ORG has purchased and how many are being used.

Is there somewhere in the SEPM that I can look that details licensing information from our estate? total number of licenses, licenses used / available, that sort of thing?

    I'm using SEPM v11.0.6300.803

And sorry if this is in the wrong forum, I have no idea where to put it

    HI,

If you use a SQL backend server you can run the following script in SQL Server Manager to query the number of clients you have.

    use sem5
select name as Countries, count(*) as Clients
    from sem5.sem_client
left outer join sem5.identity_map on sem_client.domain_id=identity_map.id
    group by name
    order by Clients

    Or

    If you have embedded database

you can still use the query by opening dbisqlc.exe under "C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\ASA\win32" , enter the dba username and password and copy that query to execute.

    Hi,

I found this article you can refer this

    https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/articles/sep-121-and-license-concept

SEP 11.x licensing is basically just a "paper" license product.  However, with SEP 12.1 the licensing is a "software" license product and uses a  license file.

Basically Symantec does send info via email about license. It would be a PDF file stating license info. But it might have come on register email id with Symantec.

To confirm the license status try to contact with following options.

    Website: http://symantec.custhelp.com

    Phone number: 1-800-721-3934

    Email: license@symantec.com

    Hi,

Symantec Endpoint Protection Version 11.0 has no information of License in the Product. If you are using overlicensed no worry, thus there is two ways:

    1. Findout the email from Symantec License Team in your AV Project Managers Mailbox and Look for the mail from Symantec, surely it will be there.

    2. Reset the password of Licensing.symantec.com using ur AV Project Managers email ID, because most probably he is responsible for registering the License.

    3. Lastly you may contact your Vendor and ask for the Copy of License.
