Very simple answer i am sure but i just wanted to be sure.
Can i upgrade from BE2010 to BE2010 R3 using the same license key?

Yes, same licenses will indeed work!
All remote agents (RAWS) on remove machines will need to be reinstalled (updated) post-upgrade.
