What do these 2 licenses allow for?

SYMC BACKUP EXEC 2012 AGENT FOR WINDOWS WIN PER SERVER I/O ESSENTIAL 12 MONTHS  -  Quantity: 1

SYMC BACKUP EXEC 2012 AGENT FOR WINDOWS WIN PER SERVER BNDL COMP UG LIC EXPRESS BAND S ESSENTIAL 12 MONTHS - Quantity: 1

(Those have 2 separate Serial numbers and are added to the Backup Exec Console) - It's installed on the main server and it backups itself.

What if we need to backup an additional server (install an agent)? Are we covered by the previous licenses or we need to buy any additional?

I've attached a screenshot of what I see at the console. By the way, why there are 2 identical Serial Numbers added to the list (are they repetead?).

Thank you!!

They would appear to be Maintanence/Support contracts licenses as they have an expiration (12 Months).. For definitive clarification i would strongly suggest that you contact the Licensing Department.. Please view the link below

Hello,

You will need

01  "Backup Exec 2012" License to backup the Backup Exec server itself.

For every additional remote windows server in the environrment you need a "Backup Exec 2012 Agent for Windows"

So if you have 2 Remote servers you will need 02 Qty "Backup Exeic 2012 Agent for Windows"

This is assuming that you are only backing up files and folders off those servers not any applications like exchange, sql or active directory.

Please contact the Symantec Licensing Team and make sure these .slf files / serial numbers are emailed to you and also verify the licenses that you have with them.
