So, I've talked to support and I've talked to sales, and nobody has a straight answer ...

I have SAV 10 Small Business Pack, and I need to renew the licenses. Unlike the corporate version, this one actually requires a license file. And this is where my troubles begin (or maybe end?).

I cannot buy licenses for SAV 10 anymore. Everything is 11. Our client doesn't want 11. Our client wants 10.

I went through this last year too; spent two hours on the phone until I found a person who actually had a clue. Unfortuantely, I haven't been that lucky this year.

Support says "no can do. With the Express Band B license, we cannot get you a license file for version 10"

    Great.

I call the Renewal center, and it's all "upgrade this" and "upgrade that". I don't want upgrades, I want to renew my licenses! I need to get a license file for version 10! Seriously, it's like Symantec are trying to lose customers. The "easy, easier, easiest" from the Symantec Licensing Programs brochure is a misnomer. Every year, it just gets more and more painful to renew.

So, does anyone know of anyone inside of Symantec that actually know how I can use my renewed subscription (for SEP 11) to get a license file for SAV 10? I know there's on person that can, because I spoke to her about a year ago... Sadly, I didn't catch her name, or which department she is in...

Your renewal will be for an Endpoint Protection 11.0 Business Pack. When you register the serial number into a Licensing Portal account, an SLF file will automatically be generated that you can use with Symantec AntiVirus 10 Small Business Edition.

For these kinds of questions, it is always best to call Enterprise Customer Care {a.k.a. Licensing} at 1-800-721-3934

If you send me a PM with your contact information, I would be happy to reach out to you as I am in that department.
