  • 1.  Limited Admins unable to edit multiple GUP list?

    Posted Aug 04, 2011 02:06 PM

Since we upgraded to SEP 11 RU6 MP3, our limited admins are no longer able to edit the multiple GUP list. They have full access to their groups and the ability to convert any policies they want to non-shared and edit as they see fit. Also, this worked before upgrading. We were running SEP 11 RU5, and then upgraded to SEP 11 RU6a, rebooted, and then upgraded to SEP 11 RU6 MP3. Limited admins were able to edit their multiple GUP lists in SEP 11 RU5. The problem is they can pull up the list, but all the buttons are grayed out.

    What rights do they have?

I was able to reproduce this on my own internal, RU6 MP3 SEPM. It appears to be by design.

    Hello,

I did some further testing with my RU7 SEPM and my limited administrator was able to edit the Multiple GUP list.

It appears we made some changes to what permissions limited admins had over this list between RU5 and RU6 MP3 and then, in RU7, changed it back.

I've seen these permissions change in other areas on the software once or twice, so I suspect that's what happened here.

    Regards,

    James

Bummer. We're looking into upgrading to SEP 12.1, so I don't want to upgrade to RU7 right now. Guess I'll have limited administrators contact me for changes to the multiple GUP list in the meantime.

Thanks for checking into this for me!
