  • 1.  limited id creation in altiris

    I am require to add the new user in altiris server for the limited access.

    In the limitation the user can only be view the reports.

    I don't have an idea on it and my senior engineer is on leave so any help on it?

    Server manager of altiris is 7.1

    Please note that HOWTO7925 was written a long time ago, for the Notification Server 6. It therefore does contain language and links that refer only to this version of the console.

    Take a read of the "Configuring security" (Chapter 4) in the Symantec Management Platform 7.1 SP2 User Guide. It explains how to set up security and configure security roles

    As security is similar in both console versions, with both documents you should be able to work this through.

    I'll raise that the howto needs a revision for the SMP 7.x world.
