Linux client /tmp filling up during backups

I am running an issue where one of our Linux clients (Redhat) is filling up it's /tmp folder during the backup process. My questions are:

- why does NBU use /tmp prior to writing to tape?

- can I change the location from /tmp to another point?

The client version is set at 6.0 MP5 ( I will upgrade this while I wait for responses) and my Master is 7.01 on Windows. Thanks for your help as always.

Hi,   I saw another post

Hi,

I saw another post about TEMP filling up. This one was on windows, and another version. The resolution was either an EEB or an upgrade to a later maintenance pack (can't recall which).

This does obviously not match your situation exactly, but my reasoning would be to apply the latest MP, or upgrade the client.
