Looking for a linux driver for Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8111/8168B PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet controller (rev 0C). I need this for a new thinclient HP T620. A 'LSPCI -n' gives 10ec:8168 (rev 0c). The DS 6.9 buildin realtek drivers do not work; so I guess I need an updated driver (r8169.ko ?).

    I need this driver for linuxPE (x86) in DS 6.9 SP5 (kernel 2.6.27.7) or DS 6.9 SP6 (kernel 2.6.32-358.el6.i686)

I would be gratefull if somebody could help me with this.

    regards

    Xaveer

    Good luck on that here.

First, the drivers themselves come from the manufacturers, not the community.

Second, they have to be comnpiled into the appropriate OS once you get them.

So since no one else has posted on this, IF you are still looking for help, my suggestion is to get a driver from Realtec, then look for the KB on compiling Linux drivers for automation, and if that's not enough, contact support to see if they can help.  They may or may not because again, this really is NOT a Symantec function.

Frankly, thyis is why most use WinPE - because LInux can be a pain if it doesn't work out-of-the-box.
