what´s the right way to backup a whole linux-server?

File selection

a) /

b) All_local_drives

I thought it is "/" as it is with Unix-Policies, but I read "All_local-drives" several times.

I have NBU

I prefer ALL_LOCAL_DRIVES combined with 'Allow multiple data streams' in Policy attributes.

This will start a separate stream for each local filesystem.

to backup entire files with "/", "Follow mount points" should be enabled.

I agree with Marianne. ALL_LOCAL_DRIVES is better when you configure multistreaming backup.
