  • 1.  Linux PXE clients not showing in DS 7.5 All computers console

    Machines are PXE booting to linux pxe and automation. I see the machine is getting an IP from DHCP, then loads pxe and automation environment. The screen then goes green and says ready but in Altiris I do not see the computer show up in the computer list. Cannot create an image because the computer is not there to add it.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Did you try WinPE?

     

    When I was using Linux automation, it never connected.  You may want to trace it to ensure the agent is running AND connecting at all.  I never got it to work, but then, I never tried super hard either, so...

     

    Probably not the best person to reply.  :(

    I did try WINPE and it worked to image a linux machine. Curious why the Linux PXE and automation environment did not work.

    Don't know.  Now that you have a working method though, you might want to wait in the queue for help on linux automation - no harm in a free incident, right?

    Well we tried to restore the image and it failed. I believe the LSI megaraid 9271-8i drivers are missing
