If you have a proxy, you will need to configure SCSP to use it.

The other way to update your policy packs are described here:

Please note that LiveUpdate in SCSP is only for policy and report packs, nothing else.

I have provided the Proxy server IP Address still live update erro is coming help me

Follow the procedure described below: 

1. Close SCSP console 

2. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Symantec\Critical System Protection\Console\liveupdate 

3. Edit liveupdate.conf 

NOTE: this file is created while running LiveUpdate for the first time in SCSP console, based on liveupdate.conf.template content. 

Therefore you can in fact choose either to: 

- edit current liveupdate.conf 


- edit liveupdate.conf.template and delete existing liveupdate.conf 

4. Add following lines to the file then save changes: 

proxy=<IP address>:<Port Number> 



4. Login to SCSP Console and run LiveUpdate

In liveupdate.conf some different proxy server ip address is there.

So i have removed and given the current proxy server ip address.Now it is no updates available.
