Anyone have any information on how to get around this error and/or how to download and install SP1 by itself?

Liveupdate gives the following available update:

Service Pack 1 for BEWS 12.5, 12.5.2213

When I try run the update it says:

LU1825: This update tried to run an application as part of its installation, but the application failed to run.  The update may have gotten corrupted.  Try to get this update again the next time you run LiveUpdate.  Click here for more information on this error

I'm having the same issue here, and there doesn't appear to be a download available on the website.

Same problem here, SP1 from Live Update only seems to install on servers with DLO installed and there's no full download of SP available on Symantec's web site.

What happened to quality control?

I finally went directly to the liveupdate downloads directory, extracted SP1, installed it and all is fine.

Par for the course with Symantec...

Where are the LU files downloaded, by default? I'm running into this same issue.

Hi

I'm also having the same issue on an SBS2008 server with BackupExec for Windows SBS12.5. Could someone post the workaround please.

They posted service pack 1 file for download on 1/13/09.  I ran into same issue as others.  I'm going to try installing on test server today.

Hello, Any news on this topic? I ran into the same errors as all the others here and it makes me angry about the (bad) choose of Symantec instead of Galaxy or ArcServe.

This issue can occur when a connection using Terminal Services is being used to run LiveUpdate on the Backup Exec Media Server. To resolve this issue Log directly into the machine and not through a terminal application and run LiveUpdate again.

Never had an issue via Terminal services on previous versions, why now? This would now mean site visits to our client sites!
