Hi ,

I want to create a policy for the Laptop Client for LiveUpdate as many of the user will be travelling and they will be not able to communicate to my SEP server for definition. Hence I want to create a LiveUpdate policy for this user so that once they are connected to internet the SEP should take updates from Internet directly bypassing my SEPM server.

Hi Santosh,

For Live Update for Laptop Group  firest create one Laptop group  for that group enable the live update  once you enable the liveupdate first it communicate to SEPM server when in the network once clients move out of network client get update from internet directly i hope this will help you.

Hi,

Better is you create one group for laptop roaming users.

In that you create two policies:-

1. In location update thru sepm.

2. Out of location.

Location awareness will help you.

You can use the documents mentioned above. The location conditions should be in IP range,

1. if it is a private IP inside the network - the update can happen via SEPM

2, If the IP is public - the update can happen via internet.

two different LU policies for different locations. This will help you.
