I have Windows Vista on my laptop and used Symantec Antivirus since 2006. My last virus definition was July 2013. Since then Live Update says my virus defintions are up to date - WRONG. I tried uninstalling Symantec completely and reinstalling. Now my virus definition is 2006 and Live Update still says my virus defintions are up to date. So I'm really stuck now without virus protection. What do I to correct this problem? I have not found anyone with my specific problem on the forum.

Can you about SEP exact version ?

If you are using Symantec AntiVirus 10.x Corporate Edition (SAV) will reach its scheduled End-of-Support-Life (EOSL) on July 4, 2012. Virus definitions, maintenance updates, and technical support will no longer be available for this product. The recommended upgrade path is to replace SAV 10.x with Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 (SEP 12.1)

SAV is end of life and no longer supported. You need to move to SEP
