            I have installed SEPM 12.1 3 on windows 2008 64 bit OS. When I try to use live update for defination update from SEPM console it gives an error code-4 . So I tried to update sepm using jdb file but when I copy the jdb file to the proper location it starts processing and after 1 minute it becomes a .err extention and updation fails.

tried to uninstall and reinstall live update but still same issue.

But I am able the update the sep client through live update installed on the same machine. Its only the sepm having trouble while updating using live update or using jdb file.

Can you post the log.liveupdate file for review?

Yes behiend proxy and firewall but all port are open.

But why unable to update using jdb file. it becomes .err extention after some time

What database are you using ? as per above posts please provide log.liveupdate for more Information ?

If you open the .err file in notepad what does it show?

Also, do you have enough free space on C:?

using embeded database . will post the log.liveupdate.

have you tried restarting the SEPM box?

also post the SesmLu.log
