Live Update Processor and Memory Utilization
Updated: 21 May 2010 | 5 comments
About every 20 minutes or so, LU takes up almost all processor and memory resources and bogs down the server for a little. I checked all the policys and the client updates are only scheduled to be rolled out at 9am. The Live Update Administrator is set to DL the newest updates from Symantec at 1am and then start to deplay them to distribution points at 2am.
Are there any other settings/places to check and see why LU is running so often and using up the resources?
Thanks

Try streamlining your implementation by using the following guide.

I would seriously consider budgeting a bigger box, especially if you company is growing. The problem sounds like you are running on the minimum recommended requirements instead of keeping a good buffer above it.
I ahve done everything in
I ahve done everything in that link already. The problem is the LU processes are running like every 20 minutes or so and using up all the resources until its finished running. Makes me think there is a setting someplace I am missing.
The LUCOM and
The LUCOM and LUCALLBACKPROXY are the processes that are taking up all the resources.
The setting.....
Go to the SEP Management Console and go to the general client settings under the clients tab to edit the update interval..
