    Hi,

    1) If SEP on client detected SEPM server is busy and cannot update the virus definition, will client connect to Internet to get the update ?
    2) If yes, can we block it to control only update from SPEM server ?

    Thanks

No. SEPM will hand out updates after client checks in.

You can configure SEP client to go out to LiveUpdate if you wish but if you don't specify it in the policy, it won't go out to Symantec LvieUpdate and only get its updates from SEPM or GUP.

    Hi Brian,

If both SEPM and LiveUpdate server were selected. Then what's the priority to update from ??

    Thanks

SEPM uses a heartbeat while LiveUpdate can be set via a schedule. There is no priority, it just depends on how long the heartbeat is set or what the schedule is. The clients will go based off both of those if they're in use.
