  • 1.  Live update settings in mobile computers

    Dear All,
    I've some clients in my SEP 11.0. There also some laptops which are moving locally & abroad & that time those are disconnected from my server management console.
    I've found from another thread the link bellow - how to set up for mobile laptops. But, I m little confused while starting to set up.

    Is there any option needs to enable, so that it will update autometically when click in "Live Update" button from anywhere & anynetwork?

    How to configure mobile computers to automatically download virus definitions when disconnected from the Symantec Endpoint Protection Management console

    Or, if not, can any one please describe me.

    if you want to enable liveupdate button in the client GUI,in the liveupdate policy in advanced settings check the option allow user to manually launch liveupdate... While setting location specific settings we are using different policies for different locations,so if you want to get this work in all locations you have to do this in all corresponding liveupdate policies...

    Hi,
    Yes that option is already enabled in my suystem for all members.

    If I want to give this selection only for some selected laptops/PC, then should I've to declare seperate policy for each computer system?

    In SEP you can apply policy in group level only.If you want to apply a particular policy for selected   laptops/PC create a separate group for them ,move the clients to that group,assign the policy..
