    Hello guys,

This is regarding the following article:
    http://service1.symantec.com/support/ent-security.nsf/854fa02b4f5013678825731a007d06af/c0d25753668907aec1257443003077d0?OpenDocument

Step 2 says: Copy the files from the download directory to a distribution point in the protected network location. (The distribution point should be able to server files over http or ftp)

Question:  What download directory is it talking about?

    Thanks,
    Vic

I believe they are referring to this directory  -
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\LiveUpdate\Downloads

This is an odd document. LiveUpdate Administrator will download the definitions itself, then distribute them to a place that the SEPM can update from. Take a look at the following document for configuring LiveUpdate Administrator

    Hi Vic,

Many thanks for pointing that article out.  I am revising it for clarity now.

In brief: set up LUA 2.x on a server that can access the Internet, then configure it to supply content via a Distribution Center that is at a network location where the SEPM can reach it.  Full details on how to install and configure this LUA 2.x program can be found in the documentation folder on the product DVD, though the link that Thomas provides above is a good start for understanding this tool.

    Thanks and best regards,

    Mick
