    - Enhanced scheduling: Configurable Timer start time & date selection

    Yes, the installer referenced by Eoghan is capable of upgrading from previous builds.

    hello OJ,

     

    i tried to upgrade LUA from 2.1.3.9 to 2.2.1 through LUA webbased but i got an error

     

    "There are no updates currently available for LiveUpdate Administrator."

     

    Please assist!!

    We did not release a patch to upgrade via the LiveUpdate hyperlink in the web interface, however we did add the functionality of the stand alone install to do an over install. Please download the installer and execute it on your LiveUpdate Administrator server. It can be downloaded HERE.

    hi oj,

     

    i managed to upgrade my LUA to 2.2.1 version.

     

    i found out that there is no option to choose which kind of updates to download...as the previos version,i could choose either download virus definition,firewall rules & etc...

     

    need advice on bandwidth throttling...is it a must to enable this option.I scheduled LUA to download at 1am and distribute at 3am daily.I scheduled SEPM server to download updates at 6am daily. as for SEP client,all of them download from LUA server daily at 12noon...pls advice

    The throttling feature is not necessary, we wanted to give the option to ease traffic on slow WAN links. With LUA 2.2, we added the ability to select only the updates that you need. I made a document listing what you need for the Symantec Endpoint Protection products. If you go deeper into the product listings in your download and distribtion options, you should be able to chose individual products. Please review the below document for what your LUA server needs:

    Do you know what's wrong with my LUA server? My scheduled liveupdate download failed again.here are the event logs

     

    Failed to download file 1224125907jtun_nav2k8enn04m25.m25 while processing request id 267.

     

    Failed to download file 1224125907jtun_emt64nav2k8enc08.m25 while processing request id 267.

     

    Failed to download file 1224125907jtun_emt64nav2k8enc01.m25 while processing request id 267.

     

    Failed to download file 1224125907jtun_nav2k8enn06m25.m25 while processing request id 267.

     

    I have created a new scheduled download which only download firewall rules,product updates &  behavioral crimeware protection. The previous liveupdate download will only download virus definitions. Hope this helps.

    thank you for the document..it is very useful indeed..

     

    BTW,i have created a few liveupdate download and distribution schedules for 32bits & 64bits. Just curious....all are completed successfully except liveupdate download virus definitions 64 bits failed.

    Hi ahtshun,

     

    The only emails LUA is capable of sending in version 2.2.1 or earlier is for password recovery.

    Hello

     

    I'm using 3 computers as LiveUpdate Administrators by now. They were all using the version 2.1.3.9. 

     

    One of them, got some disk problems and I had to do a fresh install. But, I'd installed the new version 2.2.1.13 and for my surprise the access port was changed from 8080 to 7070. I was thinking that was some option that I change... but today I'd decided to update the second and the port was changed as well.

     

    Am I doing something wrong, or it's really changing the port to 7070?
