    Good day,

    I installed and configured LiveUpdate Administrator 2.2.1.13 but am faced with an issue whereby the Antivirus and AntiSpyware definitions are not updating my "Clients".

    All other updates are working fine and distributes to client PC’s just fine.

    I would like to download only the latest Antivirus definitions, i.e., end 2010 to date.

    I have read in a separate article that the SEPM clients have to be “patched” to download the 2010 definition updates which I did as per the article.

    In the article there were screenshots of the LUA showing Endpoint  Protection v11 v2 updates which I am not seeing.

    you first need to update the catalog.

    Hi Derik,

     

    Before anything else, I recommend ensuring that you have the latest LUA: LUA 2.2.2.9 is the most up-to-date, and the only version that I recommend using.  Keep an eye on this article:

    LUA 2.3 should be available in about one month.  This forthcoming version has great performance and usability enhancements: it is a "must have" for all LUA users.

     

    Now: what Symantec products are in your environment?  Is it all SEP, or is tehre a mix of products?  Any SEP for Mac?  You may not need LUA at all: the SEPM usually does a capable job of downlaoding and updating definitions to its clients on its own.

    As Rafeeq indicated: once you are on LUA 2.2.2.9 with the latest product catalog, you should see the V2 defintions for the SEPM.

    LUA 2.3 is available to Symantec customers on a case-by-case bases from Monday, March 21, 2011. Please contact Symantec Technical Support for details on how to obtain LUA 2.3.
