LiveUpdate Administrator Problem

I need to use LUA to update clients in multiple locations and have configured the Download and Distribution Centers.  A added Endpoint Protection as the only Product.

This seems to offer me a number of sub-components...

Behavioral Crimeware Protection

Firewall Rules

Other Software Updates

Virus Definitions

Do I need all of these to update a managed SEP11 client - if not, which?

What are the first three - I cannot find any documented descriptions?

My inital test download with all of these selected was about 500 mb, which I would prefer to avoid having to distribute to all the remote locations.  Is there some way of reducing this, if I do need all of the above components?

Any helpful advice gratefully received.

Hi Peter,

You can use Symantec earliar version(10.X) Live Update administration Utility. It is very easy to configured.

Further any Clearification mail me on milind490@gmail.com

Thank you Milind Y for your response

I have used that version and know it well.  I have no difficulties configuring this version - except that I want to know what those items contain and cannot find it documented anywhere.

I only want to update the definitions, not the products themselves.

Thanks again for your help

Peter
