Hi All,

I have BackupEx 12.0 recentlly updated to SP3 manually as LiveUpdate was not working correclty. I also installed the latest hotfix. Now in the event log I am getting this error:

Backup Exec Alert: LiveUpdate Error
(Server: "dom1") Update BEWS 12.0.1364 SERVICE PACK 3 (32-BIT) failed to install. Review the Backup Exec installation log for more information.

This will not stop... is there anyway I can stop it from trying to install this update as it's making my backups fail.

Updates can be seen here: http://www.iforce.co.nz/View.aspx?i=obd3zfjs.jpg

Hello Hayden

just wanted to confirm if the BE is installed on 2008 server or 2003 server

If on 2008 server,
Disable "User Access Control" on Windows 2008 Media Servers

that shall i ask u to reboot the server, if doesnot resolve the issue for both 2003 and 2008 servers

run live update manually, Help|about symantec| run live update,
if it completes successfully, u should not see the error again if fails please let me know the Error code.

please let me know if this resolves ur issue

Hi, I am running on Windows

Hi,

I am running on Windows 2003 R2 Standard 32bit. Problem began after I installed latest LiveUpdate as the LiveUpdate that came with it was asking to register and wouldn't register.
