LiveUpdate Error

Created: 13 Feb 2013 | 6 comments

Hello,

When running LUALL.exe I get the following message:

The following updates have been aborted:
> SEPM Iron Settings 12.1 RU2 - Iron Settings was aborted.
Reason: LU1849: LiveUpdate has encountered an internal error while evaluating the available updates for this computer.

Upon checking the Log.liveupdate file in C:\ProgramData\Symantec\LiveUpdate I can see this happening:

2/13/2013, 15:51:28 GMT -> Evaluating the following PreCondition for Product: SEPM Iron Settings 12.1 RU2, Version: MicroDefsB.CurDefs, Language: SymAllLanguages, ItemSeqName: CurDefs

Also, I have a repeating event happening from SEPM which is related to the above:

Info:Content download to the server failed.

Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager could not update Centralized Reputation Settings 12.1 RU2.

Started seeing this same error yesterday.  Verified same entries in log.liveupdate on server.

Hello,

I can confirm I am seeing the same issue since yesterday.  Symantec, please confirm the issue and post a resolution.  Thanks!

I prefer not to reinstall as the system is in production.  The last time I had a similar issue Symantec found the issue and corrected the problem via normal definition update.  It doesn't make sense to me that we would need to all reinstall if multiple people are experiencing the same issue.
