This issue has been solved. See solution.

I have been setting up my SEPM and got to the point where I need to test whether my LU will work. I have setup my proxy settingson the console and have allowed the server direct access to the internet on my firewall. No changes have been made to the default URL in the live update section but I am getting the code 4 message .

I am now stressed. Can anyone assist?

For testing the connectivity to to Symantec Liveupdate server

In the browser give the URL
http://liveupdate.symantecliveupdate.com\livetri.zip
or
http://liveupdate.symantec.com\livetri.zip

If you get a prompt to save the livetri.zip then your
connection to Symantec LiveUpdate is working.
