    I've dabbled a bit with other antivirus products.  I've gone full circle and am back to Symantec.  I'm running SEP unmanaged 11.0.4000.2295 on Windows XP sp2.  When LiveUpdate runs, it tries to connect to CHINTSSC to get definitions.  This is some artifact left over from years ago.  It no longer exists.  How do I get LiveUpdate to reach out to symantec.com for signatures?

    hi, backup settings.liveupdate(C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\LiveUpdate) from the client machine. Delete it. and initiate the LU. or you can change the values in the settings.liveupdate edit the line HOSTS\0\ACCESS=liveupdate.symantecliveupdate.com and save the file.
