    Hello,

My LiveUpdate\Download folder contains a large number of update files (.x86 file).  The folder has become pretty large and is starting to crowd my OS drive.  I'd like to delete these files, but I don't want to break anything.

I haven't found solution on the Web.

Is it okay to delete these files or is there a way to have live update download files to a different drive???

    Thanks for all suggestion.

I've run into the same question.  Any help?

On my old XP system the directory is at 170MB.

    Thanks,

      Mike

Hopefully, y'all have found this solution by now, but...

Using the latest version of the program, open LiveUpdate and click on the Options drop down in the UL corner.  Choose Configuration, then the Update Cache tab.  My default setting for the cache was 1,900 MB, i.e., 1.9GB, which I have reset to considerably less.  You can adjust it to a size suitable for your system or remove all update files from cache with the button near the bottom of the window.  The window also tells you how much is in cache, if you are interested.

    Hope that helps.

    Hi,

You can also manually delete anything inside of this folder. If it is determined that a program needs anything in here than it will be re-downloaded the next time LiveUpdate runs.
