    Hi;

    I´m having a problem with the Load Balance configuration in my site;

    I have 3 servers as managers, two of then with Windows 2003 R2 and the last one with Windows 2008;

    The last one have a more powerful configuration;

    I´m facing some problems with the virus definition distribution because this server with the Windows 2008 OS receives only about 10% of my company stations, overloading the other 2 servers...

    My question is about this architeture, having more than one OS in one site can be the cause of this issue?

    We´re using RU5;

    Thanks!

    The SEPM really isn't OS-aware.

    So, can you guess another cause for this problem?

    This is the only evidence that i found for this issue;

    Operating System should not be a problem, check this article

    Maybe I don't understand the problem...

    All 3 servers are handling clients. Two are overloaded so clients fail over to the 3rd server. Sounds like it's working perfectly.

    I´ll check the article but the problem is that the 2 servers are overloaded because the third server is not handling the clients;

    For example

    Meanwhile the 2 other server handle 7000 clients the third one handles just 600 clients...

    this is not that if 18000 clients are there , equally 6000 clients would be managed by 3 SEPM's. if the SEPM is unable to process the request the client would start communicating with next SEPM in pririty list
    prority 1 ---> SEPM A
                           SEPM B
                           SEPM C

    First A then B and C.

    Sorry, didn´t understand you, i´ll explain my situation with an example:

    First Server (Windows 2003) - 3000 (clients)
    Second Server (Windows 2008) - 800 (clients)
    Third Server (Windows 2003) - 3000 (clients)

    When a turn off the third server, i have the following situation:

    First Server: 5900 (clients)
    Second Server: 900 (clients)
    Third Server: off

    As you see, the second server does not handle the same requests as the other two handle, even with the best hardware, and be updated on all aspect...

    okay, however the clients number reporting are the same.

    clients randomly select the server based on heartbeat ( if all these servers are in priority 1) then this is expected behaviour.

    When i take a system report with my site status, i cannot see the second server heartbeat, CPU usage or even memory usage, the three status are reported as 0%;

    If the clients select the manager based on the heartbeat, this might be causing this trouble;

    Now the question is why the server don´t report his status to the Manager;

    Can it be a communication problem?
