LoadControlState not getting fired

This issue has been solved. See solution.
I'm having problems with a Asp.Net custom control (which inherits from a user control) - my LoadControlState isn't getting fired.
I am also calling Page.RegisterRequiresControlState in OnInit event of my custom control.

We use Control-State mechanism where in we save ResourceTypeGuids before post-back and Load ResourceTypeGuids again on Page Re-Load. But when the page re-loads the event “LoadControlState” is not getting fired.

Hi,

I think LoadControlState Event will only fires when value of SaveControlState is not null. Value of LoadControlState gets stored in ViewState and will need to match with the value when Page.RegisterRequiresControlState gets called.

Thank you.
